When youth and families are facing challenges at home, they often feel alone, isolated and without a solution. By reaching out to CHJC, that doesn’t have to be the case. We are here to provide support and guidance to help youth and families overcome adversity and thrive.

Our Services


Aftercare Program

Assists youth and their families through a child’s transition from Residential Treatment or Foster Care.

Child and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS)

Medicaid Program for Children under age 21 with mental or behavioral health needs.

Children’s Home Intensive Preventative Services (CHIPS)

Is designed to prevent out-of-home placement for youth.

Co-Location Program

Assists Child Protective Services (CPS) by co-locating a behavioral health specialist within the CPS offices.

Community School Liaison Program (CSLP)

A free service assisting Jefferson County School Districts by providing community and school based services to youth and their families in Jefferson County experiencing a mental health crisis.

Persons in Need of Supervision (PINS) Prevention Program

Is an intensive, family-focused, home and community-based alternative to institutional or Foster Care placement of identified at-risk children age 11 and older residing in Jefferson County.

Therapeutic Crisis Respite Program (TCRP)

Is a short-term (not to exceed 28 days in a calendar year) residential respite program for youth ages 5 through 17, experiencing a mental health crisis and requiring 24-hour supervision but do not meet admission criteria for hospitalization.

Visitation Center

Is designed to provide a warm and welcoming home-like environment with comfortable furniture, toys, books, artwork, and more. A new campus playground also is available to children and families who utilize the Visitation Center.

Wrap Around Casework (WAC)

Is a community-based service designed to reduce the risk of out-of-home placement and recidivism.
