Treatment Foster Care Oregon

CHJC is excited to announce a partnership with the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO), The House of Good Shepherd (HGS), and Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth. This commences an evidence based – culturally responsive, intensive community intervention for at-risk youth and families in the North Country.

TFCO was developed as an alternative to institutional, residential, and group care placements for children and youth with severe emotional and behavioral disorders. Multiple randomized trials confirm many positive results. The model is tailored to the unique developmental needs of children across all ages. CHJC’s TFCO Program specifically serves children ages 7-11. The model allows for one youth at a time to be placed in a Foster Home for six to twelve months. To promote success, the youth and their discharge resource are provided an increased level of support and services. For more information on TFCO, please visit https://www.tfcoregon.com.
