🌲 Challenge Basic Details:
- Start Date: August 1, 2024
- Trails: Choose from 15 out of 37 handpicked trails across Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Lewis, and Oswego counties. Discover them all on AllTrails: Click Here for Trail List!
- Objective: Hike 15 of these trails to earn your exclusive 3″ patch and vinyl decal!
- Rewards: The first 100 confirmed completionists will receive the patch and decal for free. After the first 100 confirmed completionists, all finishers can purchase the exclusive patch and decal after showing proof of completion.

🌟 Submission Requirements for Trek for Tomorrow Hiking Challenge:

- Trail Completion: All participants must complete 15 out of the 37 designated trails across Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Lewis, and Oswego counties. Trails must be completed starting from the onset of the challenge on August 1, 2024, or later.
- Tracking Method:
- Option 1: GPS Hiking Track Logs: Utilize AllTrails, Garmin, PeakVisor or similar to record your hikes.
- Option 2: Photo Submission: Alternatively, participants can submit a photo at the furthest point of each completed trail. Photos should clearly show the participant at the trail’s endpoint or a recognizable landmark.
- Proof of Completion:
- For AllTrails, Garmin, PeakVisor and similar GPS tracking app users. Email a screenshot, summary or jpg showing each completed trail to Alissa Braun ([email protected]) along with participant details (name, email).
- For Photo Submissions: Email photos to Alissa Braun ([email protected]) along with participant details (name, email, trail name, date completed).
- Patch Eligibility: The first 100 participants who successfully complete 15 trails and submit proof of completion will be eligible to receive the exclusive Trek for Tomorrow patch and vinyl decal for free! After the first 100 confirmed completionists, all finishers are eligible to purchase the patch and vinyl decal after showing proof of completion.
- Community Engagement: Share your journey and connect with fellow participants using #TrekForTomorrow on social media. Engage with us to inspire others and celebrate your achievements!
- Safety and Guidelines: Participants are reminded to adhere to trail safety guidelines, use appropriate equipment, and respect natural environments while hiking. By participating in the Trek for Tomorrow hiking challenge, you acknowledge and accept the safety guidelines below.
** Participants in the Trek for Tomorrow hiking challenge should exercise caution and be aware that trail conditions and weather can change suddenly. It is essential to be prepared and informed before embarking on any hike. Here are some safety tips to consider:
- Trail Conditions: Trails may vary in difficulty and terrain. Be mindful of obstacles such as rocks, roots, and slippery surfaces.
- Weather Awareness: Check weather forecasts before starting your hike and be prepared for sudden changes in weather conditions.
- Safety Equipment: Carry appropriate gear such as water, snacks, a map or GPS device, and any necessary clothing layers.
- Trail Etiquette: Respect wildlife, other hikers, and the environment. Stay on designated trails and follow Leave No Trace principles.
- Emergency Preparedness: Have a plan in case of injury, including knowing your location and how to contact emergency services. Share your hiking plans with family or friends before embarking.
