CHJC Receives Excellus Community Health Award

CHJC (Children’s Home of Jefferson County) recently received a $4,000.00 grant from Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Community Health Awards. The awards support upstate New York non-profit organizations, as they improve and implement community-wide health services, education, and programming. CHJC grant funding will be used to support a new Agency-wide healthy lifestyles initiative for Staff and clients, launching in the spring of 2020.

CHJC is one of Northern New York’s longest operating non-profit child welfare organizations. With a staff of nearly 300 committed employees, CHJC is passionate about helping youth, adults and families overcome adversity by using a strength-based approach providing a strong support network so people can help themselves. These services cover youth development, youth and adult health services, foster care and family permanence and programs for at-risk youth and their families.
