September is Suicide Prevention Month.
Austen LaBarge, Clinical Director at the Children’s Home of Jefferson County, recently shared insights on recognizing the warning signs of someone in crisis. He highlighted key indicators such as changes in behavior, withdrawal, and sleep disturbances.
“When you notice these signs, it’s crucial to encourage them to seek help,” LaBarge advised.
The Children’s Home operates three outpatient clinics in the tri-county area, offering services for individuals of all ages. Additionally, children who meet the necessary criteria may stay at the Children’s Home for up to 21 days to receive care.
