CHJC (Children’s Home of Jefferson County) is hosting a Job Fair at our Watertown Campus on Thursday, April 22, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm!

We’re looking for committed professionals wanting to make a difference in the community by providing services to empower adults and youth. Positions for all experience levels are available including full- and part-time. Be sure to bring your resume with you for on-the-spot interviews! (Applicants must be 21 years of age and older.)

OPEN OPPORTUNITIES

Direct Care Professional                                     Watertown, NY  

Provide supervision, support, guidance, and role modeling to the youth. Provide a safe, therapeutic, and secure environment for the youth in conjunction with other staff. Teach youth to achieve attainable goals regarding proper social behavior, hygiene, and education. Each Direct Care Professional plays an important part in the treatment team in meeting the needs of each youth within the program.

Requires: High School Diploma

 

Youth and Family Engagement Specialist     Watertown, NY

Provide supervision, support, guidance, and role modeling to the residents in the TCRP. In conjunction with other members of the team, provides a safe and secure environment for the youth. Teach youth to achieve attainable goals regarding proper social behavior, hygiene, and education. Each Youth and Family Engagement Specialist provides intensive family engagement and community support to the entire family to help prevent future crises. Upon discharge from the respite portion of the program, until an appropriate plan for success has been fully executed, Youth and Family Engagement Specialists provide Aftercare services.

Requires: Bachelor’s Degree

 

Adult Care Coordinator                                        Watertown, NY 

To improve the responsiveness, accountability, and coordination of the service system for individuals with serious psychiatric disabilities. Services will be provided by a comprehensive coordinated network of providers delivering an array of medical, self-help, social, supportive, and rehabilitative services. Services will be focused on rehabilitation and recovery based on the needs and desires of the individual and delivered according to an Individualized Service Plan.

Requires: Bachelor’s Degree

 

Children’s Care Coordinator                                 Watertown, NY

To reduce out-of-home placement by effective interagency working and coordination of care. Assist children and their families who are experiencing emotional and behavioral problems or who suffer from a mental health condition. Undertake strength-based assessments. Develop Individualized Service Plans.

DSS Case Planner                                                 Watertown, NY 

The DSS Caseworker is based in the Ongoing Unit at the Jefferson County Department of Social Services (JCDSS). In this position, the Caseworker will be working with the families on their caseload to ensure all family members receive the services required to achieve successful reunification. The Caseworker will be responsible for completing monthly home visits with all individuals on their caseload, ensuring they are assessing for safety during every contact. The Caseworker will refer clients to all recommended/requested services, including Mental Health Counseling, Psychological Evaluations, Substance Abuse Treatment, and Parenting Instruction, as well as any other services recommended by service providers or requested by the court.

Community Services Provider-CFTSS              Watertown, NY

Children and Family Treatment and Support Services are designed to provide community-based behavioral health care services supporting children and families in our community. These services offer opportunities to better meet the behavioral health needs to prevent the onset or progression of behavioral health conditions. The Community Service Provider-CFTSS is responsible for providing direct skill-building and other therapeutic services to children and their caregivers. To provide direct services to clients and their caregivers enrolled in the program, the Community Service Provider-CFTSS works in partnership with Health Home Agencies, Community Partners, and the Foster Care Department. The caseload for this position varies and is dependent on the number of direct service hours for each client. The Community Service Provider-CFTSS assures services provided and all documentation requirements meet the required OCFS, OMH, CFTSS, and Medicaid reimbursement mandates.

Required: High School Diploma

 

Clinical Therapist                                              Watertown, NY    

The Clinical Therapist is responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical services to clients and their families. This includes the provision of individual, family, group therapies, crisis intervention, advocacy, assessment, planning, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary teamwork. Clinical therapists are responsible for formulating and implementing appropriate treatment strategies from clients and their families on their assigned caseload and for timely and satisfactory documentation of all treatment efforts.

Required: LMHC or LMSW or LCSW

 

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner                    Watertown, NY         

Works with the Medical Director and Practice Manager to provide medical and psychiatric care. Evaluates and diagnoses patients with mental illness. Proficient in psychotropic medications and dosage, under the direction of the Medical Director. Evaluates the needs of the patient and helps develop treatment plans. Requires advanced training and education in psychiatric care pending approval from the office of mental health. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, also known as a mental health nurse practitioner, provides psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for mental health patients. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner performs a wide range of mental health services, including but not limited to patient assessments, medical histories, treatment plans, psychiatric diagnosis, and Medication Management.

Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, successful completion of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) program

 

OCFS Quality Assurance Specialist           Watertown, NY         

The Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible to review and complete quality reviews as assigned for OCFS programming on campus as well as Community Based and Foster Care programming. Provides input and feedback to the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) Department leadership team to assist with achieving high-quality standards. Remains up-to-date and familiar with OCFS and Agency regulations, policies, procedures, and practices. Assists in assessing quality strengths and identifying opportunities for program and staff development.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree
