DESCRIPTION:CHJC’s Community Clinic of Jefferson County (CCJC) will be offering a new group geared toward men who are aged 18 and older. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in a therapeutic group setting where masculinity can be explored while getting support from peers. If you are a client of the Community Clinic of Jefferson\, you may be eligible to participate and are encouraged to get a referral from your clinician. \nTopics that will be explored include:\n➡What makes a person a man?\n➡Masculinity in relationships\n➡Rigid boundaries\n➡Emotionally distancing\n➡Fatherhood\n➡Types of parenting styles\n➡How Fatherhood is important for child development\n➡Coping skills\n➡Brainstorming masculine interests\, and how they can be used as a coping skill.\n➡Masculinity expectations in society and the media \nGroups are excellent opportunities for clients to get supplemental therapy\, challenge behaviors\, and create unity.
